    A set of tweeters...

I need a "cheap" set of tweeters. I am planning on running them off my MB Quart crossovers.

One of my MB tweets is dead!

    Thanks guys!

Erin just got his hands on the new CSS ERT26 tweeters that are $13 a piece.

The SEAS 27TFFNC/G runs about $33 per tweeter.

We'll have to wait for Erin to tell us. I haven't heard them yet.

Note it is an 8 ohm tweet. What are the MB tweets?

I sure would like to know what Erin thinks of it first. The only comments I could find about it (from Bob himself) on a forum left me with some questions.

Vifa DQ25, cheap, sound good enough, and easy to modify.

4ohm and the faceplates trim down easily. The heatsink is held in with a screw. If you go to the hardware store you can get longer screws for mounting with a backstrap. Or there are the glue in methods.

They will probably work ok with the mbquart low crossover points but it's not going to be a perfect passive for these tweets, because well it wasn't designed for anything other than the mbquarts.

Thanks for the input. The MB's were/are 4ohm.
