    Most of those bass connectors adjust the gain using a single-point parametric EQ, around a hopefully selectable center frequency near 50hz or something. That is lame. Most of us want to adjust the entire signal evenly.

    @mellephants: Aah! I see - so these just tweak the bass "boost" on the amp.

    I wouldn't say most. I've had several amps where the remote controls the gain, not an EQ boost. (USAmps RBG, Phoenix Gold LPL) There is a difference between a remote level adjustment and a remote bass boost.
