Those Vifa Ne subs are only 6.5lbs in a 12 trim and $115 on special. I would get them if they were the 8 ohm coil option and included the heatsinks.

I think with PE you can always get $5 off. There usually is a coupon online. Do you all know another way to save money from PE? I'm thinking of buying some drivers that are not on special.

Just received my DTA-100 amplifiers and while PE cautions that they are B-stock and might have blemishes, mine look perfect. Pretty cool little amps. One is going to my new office to power a pair of micro-fonkens and I'm sure I'll find something to do with the other.

The DTA100 is sold out.. Just went to buy one I figured I could use it for a headphone amp in the house or a set of computer minimonitors including the enclosures and drivers I kinda forgot I had tucked away.

Guess what? Something else will come along.. Hell I still have this BSG 6 channel amp here. I could buy a miniDSP and go fully "powerful enough for a desk" active.. and the BSG has a Vout to power the MiniDSP.. man, now THAT is thinking!

Ooohh. I've got a pair of the BSG 6 channel amps too. One has been kicking ass in garage service for a few years but the other doesn't see much use in our bedroom system. That + MiniDSP is a great idea, and I've got one more 2x4 "in a box" just waiting for a little project.

4 bridged into 2 one each for the tweets.

If I did that I'd try to force the 4 HDS 6.5's I have here that were on the buyout (I bought from bang) and the neo XT25 into the smallest working/grunting box and throw each channel at each driver.

But yeah, I believe the BSG either has +/- 12 or 15 out.. Hell, it's just behind me.. I can drag it out and look. Nevermind, it says +/- 15 right on it.

I need to reduce the amount of shit I have "laying around"

This is almost akin to start a "things I'm going to do with shit that's laying around" thread. because now that the kid has an iPod touch, the wife and I both have iPones AND iPods (with HD's) a dock and the BSG+MiniDSP could be a neet thing. Drop it in, twist the knob.. Done, and grab a charge at the same time.
