Thanks Adam. I have something like 3500 more shots from that trip, but most are F1 shots and are blurry as hell. I put them all up on my Flickr page but I picked and chose some of the best ones to put in the public folder. There was some jackass two rows ahead of us during the race and he singlehandedly ruined a few Hundred sequence shots that were perfectly framed and his ass jumped up and stuck his head in the frame. He kept getting yelled at but never got kicked out which sucked.

Go to Singapore...it's the only place I would consider living outside of the US from the countries I have travelled to. Extremely expensive to live, but a week or two trip is tolerable price wise. The entire city is like a giant garden. Everyone is very nice (eerily so), food is amazing (better German food than I had in Darmstadt), MRT is super clean and always runs in time and there are tons of things to do.

If you ever go I recommend the Swissotel to stay at. It's downtown, but has an MRT hub in the basement as well as a giant mall. There are also about a dozen amazing restaurants within two or three blocks of the location. The best part? The pool. I swear Singapore is where Satan decides to visit when he's cold in Hell. Yes...it's that hot. Just shy of 80 F at 2 AM with 100% humidity. You learn to walk very slow and wear lots of light colored clothing!

The Swissotel is the giant building in this shot. Cost was 289 Sing ( so around 220 USD) the week after the race...1200-2500 Sing during race week

That is actually a giant casino and hotel. It's free to enter if you are a foreigner, but if you live in Singapore it's something like 70 Sing to walk in the door. It's costs 20 Sing to go to the top floor. I really wanted to go up there at night and snap some awesome city shots, but I was technically on a work trip...sorta. Next trip I will def. go up to the top.
