    I like the idea of putting the collector and compressor in an exterior shed. May borrow that idea from you.

    It just seemed to make sense. Anything where the business end can be piped around via big or small tube, why not put the noisy end somewhere else? The cabinet that held my compressor can now be a rack that holds my bench tools (scroll saw/disc sander, 2x chop saws, etc) and the space the DC was in can fit a drill press if anyone on CL will actually return my calls/emails! :mad:

    Last step will be to move a 4' wide shelf outside so I can fit a horizontal bandsaw and the large tooling in my shop will be finished.

    My compressor is in my shop where I tend to do delicate work or thinking.... And anyone who had jumped out of their pants when the compressor kicks on will attest to it's remote mounting.
